A seed gives the composition a starting point. With the same engine and settings, that starting point can be revisited.

A radio with a curious little heart
Seed & Sound began with a simple question: could a small musical system make something we would want to keep listening to?
Our own radio engine, built in Python, brings together harmony, repeating motifs and carefully bounded randomness. It chooses notes, gives them rhythm, and lets familiar ideas take a slightly different turn.
The result is music for reading, working, or doing absolutely nothing.
A few musical ingredients.
A little room for surprise.
A seed gives the composition a starting point. With the same engine and settings, that starting point can be revisited.
Small melodies return and change. Chords and bass give them a home, so the music has somewhere to wander back to.
Sampled instruments turn notes into sound. Soft textures and occasional synthesized rain give the music its atmosphere.
A few moments from the radio
One musical world, three little windows into it. Hear how the instrument, pace and texture change from one seed to the next.
Real recordings from our procedural radio engine. Each excerpt lasts 24 seconds. Choose one to listen; nothing plays automatically when you arrive.
Headphones on. Volume low. Take your time.
Choose a seed or press play. No live connection.
The music is composed through musical rules and seeded choices, rather than an audio-generating AI model. Instruments are voiced using a SoundFont sample library.
AI helped us create the studio artwork. We believe those are different parts of the story, and we like being clear about both.
The pieces share a musical language. Motifs, instruments, lengths and textures vary, but familiar patterns are part of the atmosphere. We don’t promise that every phrase is unique.
